Desert No. 6
Par 5- An interesting Par 5 that makes you think about how aggressive you want to play it. This hole curves to the left, then back to the right creating a visually intimidating amount of carry on both 2nd and 3rd shot approaches. The standard play is to place your tee shot just right of the tree that hugs the left edge of the fairway. From there, a layup shot past the 150 markers to the widest part of the fairway, which then leaves a scoring club in for your approach to the green. Aggressive players can challenge the left side off the tee, carrying the tree and rough, leaving a potentially reachable 2nd shot to the green. A huge waste area can catch tee shots that travel too far without cutting the corner and it continues down the right side of the hole jetting out in play short of the green, then finishing well past the hole. There is trouble left too! Tree line in play off the tee left and fescue grass mounds short and left of the green for shots not brave enough to challenge carrying the waste area to the green. Huge putting surface with different pockets for pin positions. Plenty of slopes on this green depending on the angle of your putt.
